Fluorite starfish is a string of translucent beads which are coloured pale blues, greens and purples. In the centre of the string of beads is a 18ct yellow gold starfish pendant. The clasp is an 18ct yellow gold S hook.
Australian Master artist-jeweller and author, Dorothy Erickson, hails from Western Australia and has been exhibiting her jewellery internationally since 1979.
Erickson draws inspiration for her many collections on different aspects of geometry, the wild and domesticated landscapes of Western Australia and in later collections the paintings of Gustav Klimt. Some of her later collections are also based off the wildflower paintings of her mother Rica Erickson. You can see these influences come through in her use of form, texture, colour and material.
