Erin Daniell has crafted this sweet pearl necklace using a string of irregular oval pearls and a clasp made with her distinctive 'Bind' texture. Creamy white pearls are threaded to a sterling silver T-bar clasp.
The clasp features Daniell's technique of twisting and extruding the medium until she creates a long piece of textured wax. Texturing the wax this way gives it irregular grooves with differing thickness' across the surface. Daniell then cuts and forms the ring and bar used to create the clasp.

Erin Daniell is a contemporary jeweller and visual artist based in Adelaide, South Australia.
Her works explore the concept of beauty and growth, in the form of small-scale organic sculptures, cast from hand carved wax or natural materials with traditional silversmithing techniques.
Employing her own take on the ancient wax casting techniques, she manipulates liquid wax by pulling and twisting to create fragile forms that are each as unique as a fingerprint when they are cast in metal. This process infuses her designs with natural textures that carry an elemental aesthetic, reminiscent of mollusc spiral growth patterns and coastal erosion striations.
