The ridged surface of this multi layered pendant gives it a uniquely tactile aspect. Comprised of four layers of interlinked corrugated copper spirals, it is enamelled in pale pink. During the firing process, the enamel has drifted into the valleys between ridges and broken at the peaks, leaving lines of dark copper visible between the lines of enamel.

30mm wide and 4mm long, the pendant hangs from an adjustable black silk cord.
Ann Welton discovered gold and silver smithing while studying at NMIT. She went on to complete Bachelor of Fine Art (Gold and Silver Smithing) (Honours) at RMIT, which allowed her to extend her exploration of vessel and jewellery making.
