These beautiful earrings are made by Anna Davern. She has carefully threaded black diamond beads onto a fine yellow gold wire that has been woven through a 9ct yellow gold frame.
The teardrop shape measures at 12mm x 10mm and the measuremnet of the drop from the hook is 28mm.
The hooks themselves are also 9ct yellow gold, and they form a nice loop with an angled tail
The black diamond beads come to a total of 1.95ct. The colour of these beads contrasts wonderfully with the bright gold of the frame and hook
Anna Davern is an Australian jeweller with an established career spanning over 30 years. The materials she uses are varied, and the pieces she creates are invariably fun. From precious metals and stones to imagery printed onto aluminium, Davern delicate, bold and accomplished pieces have been exhibited throughout Australia and internationally. In her own words, Davern’s practice straddles the visual arts, jewellery, fashion and education, and her works incorporate the technique of assemblage and collage. Davern’s pieces are produced in her studio in Melbourne’s CBD.
