These beautiful earrings have been brought to us by Anna Davern. Made with sterling silver and different coloured beads, they have the appearance of stain glass windows.
The beads are a mix of emeralds, touramalines, garnets, and onyx. Coming to a total of 16.35ct.
The silver frames are 2mm x 2mm and form a rhomoid shape, they measure at 19.5 at the widest and 5.5mm at the thinest. The rhomboids have a total length of 39.8mm.
They earrings have a stud backing with a butterfly back, these are attached to a double-loop form that holds the rhomboid. These measure at 2mm x 2mm. Each of the loops are 9.5mm wide, together they have a length of 17.5mm.
The total drop of the earrings is 53.5mm.
Anna Davern is an Australian jeweller with an established career spanning over 30 years. The materials she uses are varied, and the pieces she creates are invariably fun.
From precious metals and stones to imagery printed onto aluminium, Davern delicate, bold and accomplished pieces have been exhibited throughout Australia and internationally.
In her own words, Davern’s practice straddles the visual arts, jewellery, fashion and education, and her works incorporate the technique of assemblage and collage. Davern’s pieces are produced in her studio in Melbourne’s CBD.
