Ant Hat's Graceful Fate ring depicts two half skulls connected by the lower half of a crucifix. Extending above the two front-facing skulls is the upper section of the crucifix.
The crucifix is made from 9ct yellow gold while the sterling silver skulls have been darkened as a result of oxidisation so that features are emphasised where the eyes, mouth and nose should be.
Ring size: S
Materials: Sterling Silver and 9ct Yellow Gold
Ring face dimensions: 27mm x 18mm
Ring shank: 3mm x 1.5mm
The Ant Hat line is the pseudonym of a Melbourne jeweller. The works this jeweller creates are contemplations, interweaving both the silence and the deafening noise post-encore.
Known for the precision of her carvings, Ant Hat’s signature pieces include hand-detailed skulls and anatomically correct hearts, all no more than a centimetre high. Each component is cast from an original wax carving by the artist, hand-crafted and finished in her Melbourne studio.
