Artist Carl Noonan has crafted this schmick ring out of cobalt and 18ct yellow gold. The ring is a dichotomy between the organic/natural and clean/industrial forms. The top detail is comprised of six intersecting curved lines. The lines are grouped in three and are mirror images of each other, however all the lines intersect with the other three. The overall shape is thin at one end and flared at the other. Between the lines are gaps which have been filled or partially filled with 18ct yellow gold. The partially filled sections look like the side of a cliff face. The top is smooth and flat with a brushed finish. Majority of the ring is made from smooth curved cobalt, which has a polished grey colour.
Dimension of top detail: width 17mm, thickness 3mm
Dimension of shank: width 4.5mm, thickness 1.6mm
Materials: Cobalt, 18ct Yellow Gold.

Carl Noonan’s rings are minimal, sculptural and distinctive. Featuring sleek, futuristic lines and graphic black elements, his rings are statement jewellery that can fly under the radar when necessary, walking the fine line between distinctive and everyday-wearable work.
