Handcrafted in sterling silver, this piece is part of a series by Australian Master artist-jeweller Dorothy Erickson paying homage to women needleworkers. This necklace comprises 13mm x 1mm lengths of sterling silver connected by circular jumprings. The lengths of silver are arranged in twelve triangles along the lower half of the necklace, while eight, 13mm links finish the remainder of the necklace to the 'S' clasp.
Semi-transparent, light-green tourmaline 'beads' hang from each of the twelve triangles, and combined with the sterling silver this pairing is strongly reminiscent of delicate lacework.
