Handcrafted in sterling silver, this piece is part of a series created by Australian Master artist-jeweller Dorothy Erickson paying homage to women needleworkers. This necklace is made up of 13mm x 1mm lengths of sterling silver connected by circular jumprings, with a 'panel' feature of three rows of daimond-shaped sections suspended from the main necklace. In addition, there are 9 tourmaline beads suspended from the lower edge of the panel feature. The necklace is secured by an 's' clasp.
The pairing of light-green tourmaline with the sterling silver is strongly reminiscent of crochet needlework.
