This truly amazing piece from Dorothy Erickson is a large spray of elongated spear shaped jasper beads that sit almost flat when you wear it. with the largest stone being 76mm long, there is no way that you will go unnoticed wearing this necklace. As well as having a powerful look, each of these stones have beautiful patterns in them with waving lines and color shifts, any of these stones could grab your attention.

The large agates are each seperated on the second connecting line by small faceted carnelian beads that are a rich orange colour, these are cut to a high polish whereas the agates are kept at a matte finish, this gives the necklace an extra bit of shine.

The necklace is held together at the back with a handmade sterling silver puzzle catch. This means that to clasp and unclasp it you need to have the right anfle to slide them apart, but qhen it is sitting relaxed, it cant come apart on its own.

Measurements: the length of the necklace is a total of 45.5cm so it sits reasonable close to the base of your neck. the longest bead is at the from and is a total length of 76mm

Materials: Agate, Carnelian, Sterling Silver

Australian Master artist-jeweller and author, Dorothy Erickson, hails from Western Australia and has been exhibiting her jewellery internationally since 1979. Erickson draws inspiration for her many collections on different aspects of geometry, the wild and domesticated landscapes of Western Australia and in later collections the paintings of Gustav Klimt. Some of her later collections are also based off the wildflower paintings of her mother Rica Erickson. You can see these influences come through in her use of form, texture, colour and material
