Erin Daniell has crafted this sweet 'Crown' ring with 3 x RBC dark almost black sapphires. Twisting her signature medium until she creates an elongated twist textured piece, she then forms the ring. This twisting technique gives the ring an irregular grooved texture with differing thickness' around the circumference. Daniell has set the stones aesthetically in the grooves across the top of the band, as if she had sliced bread dough and nestled the stones in the openings. Its a great stacking ring! The gold band tapers down the sides of the band, making the ring very comfortable to wear.

Erin Daniell is a contemporary jeweller and visual artist based in Adelaide, South Australia. Her works explore the concept of beauty and growth, in the form of small-scale organic sculptures, cast from hand carved wax or natural materials with traditional silversmithing techniques. Employing her own take on the ancient wax casting techniques, she manipulates liquid wax by pulling and twisting to create fragile forms that are each as unique as a fingerprint when they are cast in metal. This process infuses her designs with natural textures that carry an elemental aesthetic, reminiscent of mollusc spiral growth patterns and coastal erosion striations.
