This statement ring is a piece from Simon William's Mineralist series that takes a multicoloured deepdive into the world of resin crystals and rocks. Made entirely of transluscent purple resin, this ring is oversized, taking a form inspired by the mineral Anthracite. The ring is heavily textured, reaching a mountain like peak at the top.

Simon Williams is a jewellery and object designer/maker based in Adelaide.
He is a multimedia practitioner, using materials as diverse as recycled spectacles, cast resin, latex, precious metals and stones. His design practice is equally broad, resulting in wallets, bags, clothing and rug design (via the Design Institute of Australia) as well as jewellery. Colour and texture are at the heart of his practice, alongside a desire to create objects that will suit and appeal to a wide audience.
He has been exhibiting his work regularly through Adelaide galleries and nationally since graduating from the South Australian School of Art in 2005
