Stone Setting Level 1 with Brendan Cunningham
Join us at KIN Gallery for an intensive two-day stone setting workshop with local jeweller and artisan Brendan Cunningham. This hands-on course introduces three essential setting techniques for smaller gemstones: flush setting, star setting, and square bead setting.
Over the weekend, participants will explore graver sharpening, material preparation, correctly seating a stone, and setting on a curve. You’ll work with copper and sterling silver blanks and a curated set of cubic zirconia stones, building confidence and precision at the bench.
This workshop is best suited to those with basic to intermediate bench skills and some prior experience with jewellery fabrication and tools.
Brendan Cunningham is a multi-faceted bench jeweller with decades of industry experience spanning the bench, retail, and stone procurement. His depth of knowledge and practical approach make this an invaluable opportunity to refine and expand your stone setting skills.
All materials are included, along with a take-home toolkit of essential setting tools. Light refreshments will be provided across the weekend.
