Artist Carl Noonan has crafted this schmick ring in cobalt and 18ct yellow gold. The ring is a fusion of predominantly clean/industrial forms, mixed with a hint of organic texture. The ring is a signet style with an hexagon as the top face. There are intersecting angular lines of titanium across the face of the hexagon, with the lines provide a lattice effect. Between the cobalt are gaps which have been filled or partially filled with 18ct yellow gold. The partially filled sections have edges that jagged below the surface of the ring face. The ring face has a brushed finish. The ring shoulders and shank are made from smooth curved cobalt, which has a polished steely grey colour.
Dimension of ring face: 22mm wide, 3mm thick
Dimension of ring shank at base: width 7mm, thickness 1.6mm
Materials: Cobalt, 18ct yellow gold
Size: M
Carl Noonan’s rings are minimal, sculptural and distinctive. Featuring sleek, futuristic lines and graphic black elements, his rings are statement jewellery that can fly under the radar when necessary, walking the fine line between distinctive and everyday-wearable work.
