Artist Carl Noonan has crafted this schmick ring using titanium and sterling silver. The ring is a fusion of predominantly clean/industrial forms, mixed with a hint of organic texture. The ring is a signet style with an hexagon as the top face. There are intersecting angular lines of titanium across the face of the hexagon. The lines provide a lattice effect. Between the titanium are gaps which have been filled or partially filled with sterling silver. The partially filled sections have edges that jagged below the surface of the ring face. The ring face has a brushed finish. The ring shoulders and shank are made from smooth curved titanium, which has a polished steely grey colour.
Dimension of ring face: 24mm wide, 4mm thick
Dimension of ring shank at base: width 8mm, thickness 1.8mm
Materials: Titanium, sterling silver
Size: Q
Carl Noonan’s rings are minimal, sculptural and distinctive. Featuring sleek, futuristic lines and graphic black elements, his rings are statement jewellery that can fly under the radar when necessary, walking the fine line between distinctive and everyday-wearable work.
