This rectangular, 18ct gold brooch features fifteen multi-coloured sapphires arranged in a grid-like formation. Handcrafted by Australian Master artist-jeweller Dorothy Erickson as an homage to Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt, the arrangement suggests the colours of an orchard blossoming in springtime. This brooch is also a finely balanced exercise in negative space.
