Consisting of an inverted arch shape and a circular shape, the earrings main panel is enamelled in grey and red, with each panel coloured reflecting each other. Divided by a curved line one third of the way down the panel, the colour blocks sit either side of the line. A black line border frames the sides of the panel, with dot and small lines scratched into the surface.
On the reverse, which can be flipped to the front, there is white enamelling, with black lines in the shape of a wheel. An earring hook is attached to the top of the panels

With training in both ceramics and jewellery making, Jane Frances Reilly brings to life her surroundings in blocks of bright colour and monochromatic line. Her motifs and mark-making are like drawings that tell stories of memories, and Reilly takes inspiration from the home, garden, footpaths and roads. Although responding to her immediate surroundings, Reilly’s pieces are in fact an abstraction of her world.
