Luke Abbot works primarily in titanium and sterling silver, and his minimalist and often colourful pieces primarily draw from the natural world. About his work, Abbot states: My work is an aesthetic form of biomimicry. Each creature evolved to inhabit the personal, intimate space that is reserved for jewellery. With details that are only revealed through mechanical transformation, I aim to unlock the childlike wonder I associate with the natural world.
Based in Sydney, NSW, Abbot has received qualifications in jewellery and object design from The Design Centre Enmore, and in 2012 he undertook an exchange placement with the Hiko Mizuno College of Jewellery, Tokyo.
