This necklace from Simon William's has been made of sterling silver and brown freshwater pearl, with the pearls taking up two thirds of the piece. The pearls are a stunning, lustrous brown tone that has shifts of green, dark orange and purple. The rest of the piece is made up of heavy, oxidised sterling silver. The chain links are heavy and oval in shape, and connect to the pearls with a hook clasp.

Dimensions: Pearls approximately 10-11mm in length and 9-9.5mm wide. Sterling silver chain links 8mm wide, 10mm long, each link is 2mm thick.
Simon Williams is a jewellery and object designer/maker based in Adelaide.
He is a multimedia practitioner, using materials as diverse as recycled spectacles, cast resin, latex, precious metals and stones. His design practice is equally broad, resulting in wallets, bags, clothing and rug design (via the Design Institute of Australia) as well as jewellery. Colour and texture are at the heart of his practice, alongside a desire to create objects that will suit and appeal to a wide audience.
He has been exhibiting his work regularly through Adelaide galleries and nationally since graduating from the South Australian School of Art in 2005
