Tessa Blazey's 'Irene Ring' is inspired by the character played by Uma Thurman in the sci-fi film 'Gattaga'.
The texture on this ring looks like it has been carved, the colour of the 18ct white gold leaves it looking like stone. This is aided by the design on the ring, it is an 8 sided shape, much like an uncut diamond. On one of the triangular faces, there are ten pave set Australian champagne diamonds, each of these shine with a bright warm light. Because none of the other facets have diamonds, the design looks as if its hiding the stones until you turn the ring around and look closely.
Measurements. The ring is a size O.5. The band is 2.5mm wide and 1.5mm thick. The design sits 8.5mm above the finger and is 8mm wide. Each of the stones are 1mm in diameter.
Materials: 18ct white gold, 10x Australian champagne diamonds.
