This amazing ring from Tessa Blazey is the 'Veronica Sawyer Ring' and is inspired by the character played by Winona Ryder in the 1988 film 'Heathers'. This is a one-of-a-kind cocktail ring.
The band and claws are made from 18ct white gold, they have a wonderful brushed texture to them that appears to glow in certain lights. The claws that hold the stones are tall and seem to grow from the shank like branches. The largest claws hold a 4.7ct cushion cut spinel thats a wonderful dark grey, it has a subtle blue tint through it. Next to the spinel is a stunning 0.5ct double-cut salt and pepper diamond, instead of a flat table the facets lay over the top almost creating a domed visual out of triangles.
Measurements: The ring is a size M.5. The band has a round profile that is 2.5mm in diameter, the large claws are the same diameter and the small ones are 1.1mm in diameter. The spinel sits 11mm above the finger and the diamond sits 10.5mm off the finger. The spinel is 11.8mm wide and long, and is 10mm deep, and the diamond is 5mm in diameter and 2.6mm deep.
Materials: 18ct white gold, 4.7ct cushion cutspinel and 0.5ct double-cut salt and pepper diamond.
