These earrings are part of Simon William's Mineralist series that takes a multicoloured deepdive into the world of resin crystals. They are made from resin that has been cast in the shape of a long crystal, pointing downward. Each shape has a unique crystalline texture, inspired by druzy the tiny sparkling crystals that appear on the surface of a rock.
The earrings are complete with stainless steel hooks.

Simon Williams is a jewellery and object designer/maker based in Adelaide.
He is a multimedia practitioner, using materials as diverse as recycled spectacles, cast resin, latex, precious metals and stones. His design practice is equally broad, resulting in wallets, bags, clothing and rug design (via the Design Institute of Australia) as well as jewellery. Colour and texture are at the heart of his practice, alongside a desire to create objects that will suit and appeal to a wide audience.
He has been exhibiting his work regularly through Adelaide galleries and nationally since graduating from the South Australian School of Art in 2005.
