These dangly earrings have three pieces of steel cable, all varying lengths. In ascending order of length, the steel cable has two, three and four aquamarine facetted beads threaded on them. The ends of the cables are stoppered with thin 18ct yellow gold tube. The cable is attached to a 18ct yellow gold hook by a jump ring.

Australian Master artist-jeweller and author, Dorothy Erickson, hails from Western Australia and has been exhibiting her jewellery internationally since 1979.

Erickson draws inspiration for her many collections on different aspects of geometry, the wild and domesticated landscapes of Western Australia and in later collections the paintings of Gustav Klimt. Some of her later collections are also based off the wildflower paintings of her mother Rica Erickson. You can see these influences come through in her use of form, texture, colour and material.
