Titled 'Fence Post', these hook earrings are an excellent example of her focus and whimsical creativity, with her signature etched patterning, 'Fence Post' is two pairs of earrings in one. The main decorative panel can be reversed to create another pair of earrings.
The main panel is rectangular with a semi circle protruding from one of the bottom corners. Across the top of both panels, extending down to the mid point, is a block of pale blue. From mid way to the bottom is deep blue. On each panel Reilly has sketched into the colour with black lines, an overlapping rectangle and square. One has small lines in the rectangle, and the other has dots. A second option is turn the panel around to have a black and white face, with a scalloped pattern.

With training in both ceramics and jewellery making, Jane Frances Reilly brings to life her surroundings in blocks of bright colour and monochromatic line.
